About Me
In May of 2008, we moved to my husband’s childhood farm. His dad passed away in 2005, leaving the farm to Rich and his 2 sisters. Our decision to move from our city home to the farm came from wanting to live a more natural lifestyle. I already had dabbled in gardening and canning with my town garden. Now, I wanted to raise our own meat.
We now raise most of our own food. We have chickens, turkeys, rabbits, ducks, goats (both dairy and meat), sheep, highlander cattle, a donkey, a llama, and a miniature horse. No. We don’t eat donkey, llama or horse meat… lol. Our animals are raised naturally, meaning they are grassfed year around.
I have 2 gardens that are organic.
My blog is about my experiences on the farm. All experiences are good learning tools. Believe me, we make plenty of mistakes out here and everyday is a chance to learn something new.
There is allot more information and farm history on our farm website: CoyoteRidgeFarms.com. What you see here is just my blog. Rich (my husband) has somehow imported his blog here as well.
